Connecting Your Telephone in Property Management Apartments

Property management apartments receive standard telephone service, but there are no faceplates.  The telephone connections have been installed at various times throughout the life of the apartment, so there is no standard for the number or location of the jacks.

In general, you should find a telephone connection in the living room area, and each bedroom.  Any jack you find will be activated for the same telephone number.  You may find jacks that are not active.  Each resident of the apartment will have access to an individual voicemail box.

Required Materials

• Standard analog telephone (caller ID capable recommended)
• Phone cable

Instructions

1. Connect one end of the telephone cable into a telephone jack.
2. Connect the other end of the telephone cable to the telephone.
