Academic Integrity Board

Once a case is referred to the board, an investigation will be conducted by the judicial coordinator and presented to the board and a hearing will be held. A panel of three students, two faculty members, and two non-voting administrators will consider the incident and discuss it with you and the faculty member involved.

  1. Board members will review the case file while the respondent waits in 110 Adelbert Hall.
  2. The judicial coordinator presents case summary to board while respondent waits in 110 Adelbert Hall.
  3. Respondent enters hearing. Board chair makes opening remarks, introductions, explains charge(s) and swears in all parties.
  4. Witnesses wait in 110 Adelbert Hall.
  5. Respondent makes opening statement (5 min) (optional).
  6. University witnesses provide information, followed by questions from the board and then from the respondent.
  7. Respondent witnesses provide information, followed by questions from the respondent and the Board.
  8. Respondent makes a closing statement (5 min) (optional).
  9. Respondent leaves the room and deliberations begin with the board.
  10. If respondent is found responsible, a summary of their history of prior violations of university policy will be read to the board before they determine sanctions.
  11. Respondent returns, decision is read, sanctions given, appeal process explained and questions answered.
  12. Sanctions to be implemented immediately. (Exception for suspension/expulsion if decision is being appealed)
Dress Code

While there is no required dress code, business casual would the most common and recommended level of dress for a student.
