ORIENTATION 2008

First-Year Student Orientation

The transition from high school to Case is an exciting time for you and your family. Our goal is to help all of our first-year students get acquainted with campus and learn as much as they can about the Case community.

First-year students are required to attend one of four scheduled summer sessions as well as Case Welcome Days. During the summer session, students meet with an advisor, take any necessary placement tests, select their fall classes, tour the campus, and meet with fellow classmates.

Summer session activities provide students with all the necessary details before they return to campus for Case Welcome Days on August 22. This year, 2008 sessions are scheduled as follows:

  • Session I: July 8 - July 10
  • Session II: July 13 - July 15
  • Session III: July 16 - July 18
  • Session IV: August 18 - August 20

For sessions I, II, and III, all first-year students will stay in residential housing, including students who plan to commute in the fall. All students attending Session IV will remain on campus for Welcome Days. Students will receive detailed information as their summer session approaches.
