College is a time of interpersonal learning, reflection and development. Yet, often times, students may encounter situations where they utilize poor judgement or engage in behavior that violates university policies.
In some instances, students may require the need for disciplinary action and appear before the Academic Integrity Board or the University Judicial Board. The Academic Integrity Board hears cases of students who are accused of violating university policy in regard to cheating, plagiarism, misrepresentation and obstruction. Students who violate University Standards of Conduct appear before the University Judicial Board.
Case does not tolerate inappropriate conduct and recognizes the need to protect and enforce the rights of all faculty, staff and students. Our judicial process provides a fair and impartial forum, involving students, administrators and faculty members. This process challenges students to learn from their behavior and offers them an opportunity to address their concerns in a judicious manner.
In our effort to shape the ethics of all students, Case requires a norm of expected conduct shared by everyone. It is our goal to maintain an orderly campus environment, promote the awareness of meaningful rights, and instill a sense of personal accountability.
