The structure of the Emerging Leaders Program enables participants to look at leadership from a personal and group perspective. By examining both elements of leadership, ELPers are able to define their leadership journey, make connections throughout the campus community, and get the most out of their Case experience.
ELPers will personalize their ELP experience by joining a student organization and attending a variety of on-campus leadership programs based on their individual interests. In addition, ELPers will engage in social opportunities and meet one-on-one with an upperclass peer mentor and an ELP staff facilitator to explore their personal leadership journey and learn more about leadership opportunities at Case.
During the Fall semester ELPers are expected to participate in:
ELPers will attend the ELP retreat and meet their small group. This will be their group for the entire semester and together they will learn the 5 practices of exemplary leadership in Kouzes and Posner's The Leadership Challenge. ELPers will have the opportunity to attend the Winter Leadership Conference, engage in community service, and participate in the ELP Graduation Ceremony.
During the Spring semester ELPers are expected to participate in:
