What Does Share the Vision Mean to You?
"Well, now as an alum, it means, taking what I was taught at Case and sharing it with the world (and beyond). I see it as taking not only the book-taught knowledge I gained while at Case, but also the values, ethics, and diverse viewpoints, and sharing them with the world. As an engineer, of course, I see the need to apply my vision to a problem, but that is very open, since there are many places and projects in the world that need help, and I am happy to help whomever I can.
As an undergraduate student and leader though, I saw sharing the vision as a way to express my own individuality, while being just another engineering student at Case. "The Vision" when used loosely can encompass many tangible and intangible things, from ideas for a group, to plans for the future, to community service, etc. I was able to share my personal vision though with the campus, and perhaps better it, through my leadership positions. I was able to evaluate needs on campus, and see where I could use my skills (some innate and some learned from peers at Case) to better them. As a leader, my goal was not only to make a difference, but to live the difference, and I think that the Share the Vision program fully encompasses that goal."
