National Youth Sports Program Activities

The 2009 camp will run from June 15 to July 17. The program runs Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Participants will be involved in:

  • Track and Field
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Flag Football
  • Softball
  • Dance Aerobics
  • Badminton
  • Weight Training
Educational Activities
  • Math and Science
  • Reading and Writing
  • Nutrition and Personal Health
  • Communication
  • Career Opportunities / Job Responsibilites
  • Educational Tutoring (for those who qualify)

All participants at registration will receive free physicals and daily meals.

  • 1970: NYSP is founded. 2009 will be its 39th year.

  • Enrollment: 500 Boys and Girls ages 10-16
  • Staff: 15.5 to 1 ratio (students to staff)
  • Costs: Free for residents of Cleveland and $100 for non-residents
