Digital Cable Television
Case is pleased to offer an extensive digital cable television lineup to all residential and Greek students.
Our network brings local channels, popular cable networks and Case channels to all corners of our residential communities.
Below is a link to the list of channels provided.
Requirements
In order to receive cable television services, you must have a television (or other device) which supports a digital QAM tuner.
Although digital tuners have been required in televisions since 2007, not all televisions included the QAM tuner which is used for digital cable reception.
Most new devices now include the appropriate tuner, but you should check the specifications from your manufacturer to be sure.
If you wish to use an older analog or digital TV, you can obtain a converter box that can tune digital cable TV signals and convert them for your television.
These boxes can also be used to turn a computer monitor into a television.
In order to recieve the Case cable service, these devices also need to have a QAM tuner.
Most tuner boxes available at electronic stores from over-the-air digital TV transition do not include this tuner, so be sure to verify the specifications from the manufacturer.
Problems And Updates
On Friday, January 20, 2012, we confirmed an issue with the Iveiew STB200 set top box.
When performing a channel scan, the box detects all available channels on the system, but is unable to tune into the local broadcast channels (3, 5, 8, 19, 25, 43, etc.) When tuning to one of these channels, the channel name appears, then the system logo appears on the screen, and the box appears to become non-responsive.
If you experience this problem, you can disconnect the coax cable from the box. When the screen displays "no signal", you will be able to change to another channel.
We are working with our vendor to identify the root cause of this issue and will post any updates as they are available.
Available Channels
Our all-digital cable service includes all major Cleveland broadcast channels, Case channels, and over 50 digital cable channels.
Many local channels and the six most popular channels are broadcast in high definition.
