Area Office
Capitalize only when referring to a specific area office.
Examples: Please pick up your package in the North Residential Village Area Office. You can submit a maintenance request in the area office.

Capitalize only when referring to a specific person.
Case Undergraduate Experience
College Council
Dorm, Dormitory
Use "residence hall."
First Year Coordinator
Capitalize only when referring to a specific person. We don't use a hyphen when referring to Case coordinators. The acronym FYC can be used in subsequent references in the same document. Also "an FYC" and "FYCs."
Examples: First Year Coordinator Jane Doe held a program about study
habits. Jane Doe is a first-year coordinator.
First Year Experience
Capitalize without a hyphen when referring to the program we have at Case. Can
use FYE in subsequent references. The generic term is "first-year
experience."
Examples: The First Year Experience program is housed in eight
buildings. The student transferred because he did not have a good
first-year experience.
Greek Life Assistant
Capitalize only when referring to a specific person. The acronym GLA can be used in subsequent references in the same document. Also "a GLA" and "GLAs."
Examples: Learning Assistant John Doe held a program about study
habits. John Doe is a learning assistant.
Hall, House
Capitalize only when referring to a specific building.
Maintenance Assistant
Capitalize only when referring to a specific person.
North Residential Village
Refers to the residential living area north of Euclid Avenue. Should not
be used to identify The Village at 115 complex. The acronym NRV can be used
in subsequent references in the same document.
North Side
Use "North Residential Village."
Orientation Leader
Capitalize only when referring to a specific person.
Resident
Refers specifically to students living in residence halls. Not
capitalized.
Resident Assistant
Capitalize only when referring to a specific person. The acronym RA can be used in subsequent references in the same document. Also "an RA" and "RAs."
Examples: Resident Assistant John Doe completed an incident report. John Doe is a resident assistant.
Residential College
Capitalize only when referring to a specific residential college.
Examples: The Juniper Residential College held a bake sale. The residential colleges held a bake sale.
Second Year Coordinator
See "First Year Coordinator."
South Residential Village
Refers to the residential living area south of Murray Hill Road. The acronym
SRV can be used in subsequent references in the same document.
South Side
Use "South Residential Village."

Never capitalized.
