Planning a private meeting? Want to schedule a multi-day conference or wedding reception for several hundred guests? Our rooms in Thwing Center can accommodate everything from seminars to banquets to ballroom dancing. Our professional staff will give you all the assistance you need with furnishings, audio-visual equipment, catering, and more.

Make your reservation online

Our facilities fill up fast, so you should begin the reservation process early by completing our online form. USG Recognized Student Organizations may reserve space across campus via the Thwing Administration Office online form. You also can contact the Administrative Office for assistance. Because our mission is to serve the Case Western Reserve University community, our facilities are not available to outside organizations except during summer months.

You also will need to complete a form if you are changing a reservation or canceling an event.

Do You Need Banners or Balloons?

The Office of Student Activities & Leadership can help you with your next event. Grab more attention with large, colorful banners or set a festive atmosphere with colorful balloons. All services are done in-house guaranteeing you a reasonable price and quality service. No order is too small, so please call 216.368.2679 for more information.

Events and User Groups

Student Activities Recognized undergraduate student organizations can use our facilites for free, including any AV equipment that is owned by Thwing Center. Space fills up fast, so please make your reservations early. Students are permitted to make reservations for large-scale events up to one academic year in advance. Smaller events and regular meetings can be scheduled one semester in advance.

Department Events Departments may use most of our meeting rooms for free. Departments are charged for setups and cleanups of the larger spaces in Thwing. Departments follow the same reservation guidelines as students — one year in advance for large events and one semester in advance for business meetings. Our staff can help you with room diagrams for events, choosing the right caterer, and signage throughout the building.

Non-Profit Meetings and Conferences Thwing Center holds many conferences during the summer. Our space is available from mid-May through August for non-university use. If your nonprofit organization is interested in seeing our facilities, please contact Thwing Center at 216.368.2660 or e-mail ThwingRes@case.edu.

Weddings and Private Parties Weddings can be reserved in the Thwing Ballroom only during summer months. Our facility is used too much during the academic year by students and departments to make it available for non-academic purposes. Alumni receive a special discount on our facilities, so please e-mail the Administrative Office for more information.
